🐋 Whale long vs short ratio: what are whales buying and selling right now?

2026-10-08 13:49 UTC

This page shows, in one chart, how the 100 Hyperliquid whales we track are positioned across 12 coins. Green is money betting on a rise (long), red is money betting on a fall (short). A coin where the bar is almost all green means whale money is buying; almost all red means whales are selling or hedging. The numbers refresh every few minutes from public on-chain data.

Today's whale read in plain words

How to read the ratio

A long share above 60% means most whale money expects the coin to rise; below 40% means most expects it to fall; in between the whales are split or hedged. A ratio is a clue about positioning, not a forecast: whales hold both sides to hedge and they can be wrong. Check the coin page for entry prices, profit or loss and leverage before drawing a conclusion.

How should I use whale data?

As one clue next to price, volume and your own risk limits. Whales have more capital and can hedge, so copying a position blindly can lose money.

Is following whales profitable?

Not automatically. Many whales lose money, you see their moves with a delay, and leverage can wipe out a deposit. Look at several consistent whales rather than one.

Educational, based on public data, not financial advice. Whales lose money too and leverage can wipe out a deposit.
